I have an 89 GT. My mods include: 120 powermaster alt, kenwood amp, subs as well as new speakers and stereo, aftermarket pullies. My voltage is low (in the red) when I start the car up. After about 10 min the voltage is normal. I replaced my battery with an Optima and still have the same problem. But now it has to be about 1000 rpms to stay at a normal level.
