Starting to formulate my plans on how I'm going to take care of my oil leak. Already going to re-do my lower intake gaskets and seals at the front and rear of the engine, new valve cover gaskets, doing an oil pan gasket too.

If any of you remember, I had bad leaks between the engine and trans and it is oil, without a doubt. Here are some pics of the leak that I left ina previous thread. http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/809860-idle-problems-quite-few-questions.html#post8157785

It has to be the rear main seal, I know it's gotta be. My question is, should I have it done or brave it myself? I don't have a trans jack, nor have I ever done this before. But I'd kinda like to do it myself. Is it worth my trouble? or should I just take it to a shop and have them do it for $250?

God, I want to be leak free.

if your mechanically inclined, id do it myself. I can have a tranny out in 45 min easy, but ive done it at least 2 dozen times. That its gonna suck with no tranny jack but def have a buddy help you put the tranny back in, so u dont mess up the pilot bearing and have to do the whole fn thing over again. ive done it before!!
