Hey guys. I'm dropping a BBK OR xpipe onto my car in the next few days, and I want to know if I need o2 extensions. If I read correctly, some brands do, some don't. I don't have MIL elims because my Xcal II. It's a shorty header style pipe. So, do I need 'em, or am I good?

Thanks.

figures lol. Can I just solder the wires longer? I really don't have the spare cash for 'em, nor do I want to wait to get them in.

And thanks for the answer.

I always thought the o2 extensions were made for specifically 04's, and not sure if any specific brand would have different locations.

So, can I simply cut and strip the wires, solder in some nice 14ga, and go? Or is there more to it? Because I have a lift available to me Sunday, and I can't get extenders before then.

Yea if you don't have the cake you can cut and solder the wires to extend the wiring harness. When i put on my lt's i did that and they were fine for about 2 years b4 they shat out on me.

My shop told me that because they're disabled by the Xcal II, I can just leave them unplugged with no ill effect. That's what I plan on for now...

Well, I had problems getting the pipe in with nuts totally stripping out, so I had a shop do it, and they tossed in the extensions with it.
