BTW.....if I switch to another TB. My Gt-40 tubular intake is 70mm at the inlet. Does this mean I have to go 70mm or can I do a 65mm TB?

Yes you can run a 65mm Tb on a 70mm inlet, it's more the idea of running a 70mm TB or larger on a 65mm inlet and the incoming air hitting the lip of the smaller opening and causing turbulance.

I have one and as soon as I can find a used Acufab I'm jumping on it.

Well I've used 4 different Edelbrocks and never have I had an ounce of problems.

Exactly. I ran a 75mm on my Performer II which has a 70mm. Whistled like crazy. Ported the opening and no more whistle.

Bbk said the tb whistling was very rare and they have not been able to reproduce it or at least that was their response to my email. I highly doubt it based on everyones input here. They also said the fp issue was normal.... My car turns over for at least two more seconds during start up since the line fp is zero. Does the kirban regulator have this problem?

my tb doesnt just whistle on idle, its also when its revving, mostly noticeable in 1st and 2nd. at least im 90% sure its the tb anyway, im going to reseal my intake, but it was whistling at idle before i did my rebuild, and betting thats the problem.

as for fp, my kirban stays up around 40psi after shutoff, it does go down eventually, but not immediatly.
