Get a little older, have a wife and child... you will be talking differently.

It's called empathy.

The Problem is not the Steet racing, It's the Drivers.
Back in the "Old" days we used streches of roads that were safe to run .
No driveways or side streets for someone to come out of.
True in the bigger citys their harder to find, But NOT some busy Blvd.
Not everyone drives like in the Movies or TV ads.

Or have your son hit almost head on at a low speed collision. The air bag saved his butt. If it were a high speed hit..........

Or go ask your highway patrol if you could borrow the video of "Red Asphalt", you'd quickly come to the reality of accidents on the street.

Yes, I did my share of grudge racing, but on Friday nights at the strip.

I know it's hard to resist the urge, and I hate to preach (but I will anyhow) but street racing is a bad idea. No matter how well you know your car, or how good of a driver you like to think you are, things can change in an instant, and while you may well be the best damn street racer there is, you can't control everything.

Get to the strip, and drive as fast as you can, as much as you want, in controlled conditions.

Well I have to agree, while I don't have a problem with it at all, there are times and places for it. Service and industrial areas at night are our best times. Those that choose to do it in open public with people around are asking for trouble. Here, a few years back in Long Beach, LI, a lamborghini and a corvette decided to race down a fairly busy public street, well the lamb. hit a volvo head on and launched the volvo killing the father inside. A time and place for everything.

Dang, that sucks, but i have to agree there is a time and place for everything. But, that is why there is the drag strip......Pay the money, do it safe and have fun, and that is what it is all about....just because you want to risk ur life doesnt mean other people want to risk theirs...
