Well after 3 years of SN95 Mustanging I have decided to step up. I totaled out the old gal in an accident with a deer. I just purchased a 99 V6 and have BIG plans for this thing. I am pulling the 5.0 and putting it in the 99 with a new intake and carb setup. The AODE is going bye and a beefed up C4 will back the 306 up. I will have a 72,000 mile V6 and 5 speed now to sell. I plan on getting the Cobra R body kit and having a unique 99 with a 5.0 shoved there. I will still read the forums for you guys, but I wont be much help.

That sounds like a great plan. I hope that I can help you out in any way. I am pretty sure that you will need to save the K member from your totaled car, but thats about all I know about swapping a v8 into a v6 body. Are you gonna take pics of the whole thing?

Yea pictures are a must. For you guys interested in what your car may be valued at, I was given a $7000 value from the insurance. I owed $4000 on the car. Take the $500 deductable off and I had $2500 coming to me. I chose to buy the car back for only 5%! That come to a whoping $350 and some change. Yep I got my 306 and all my performance stuff back for nothing compared to the value of what they were worth. So I get $2000 and some change now to play with. I need to get caught up on some bills and then I can start to salvage the interior parts, spindles, fenders, doors, etc off the old gal. I am swaping the old 16's from it and putting the 15's from the 99 on to roll it around back. Looks like I got my winter project. I will be back with pics for you 5.0 lovers.

Anyone interested in an HO fibertrends Cobra RR hood, I have one. Rio Red with 2 black racing stripes down the middle. Would be a good start for the rest of the car if you like racing stripes. It survived the accident. Yep, the front was shifted and the drivers fender caved in, but the hood is just fine. What GREAT quality these guys can come up with! Built to last! $200.00/OBO! Must come to get it though.
