I need a bunch of stuff done to my 5.0 and was looking for someone reliable that won't rip me off either. Who have you used? Higgins, Dugan, someone else?

I use Gunter performance in Lawrenceville. I also heard there is a new guy off Flowery Branch and friendship road called something like "J3 performance"

If you try Dugan, post your experience. I would be interested to hear what you have to say.

i don't believe tim at MPH is doing anything with 5.0's. from everything i've heard over the years, when it comes to a fox 5.0 if you want the best, go to Tim Matherly at MV Performance in Staham.

I didn't see the 5.0 until now. Dunno if Tim does them either.

MPH and Tim does not work on 5.0 strictly Mod Motors.

It had water puddling on top of the water pump area so I took it to Higgins because they are 10 minutes from my house. They told me that I had oil and water leaks from the lower, tstat was seeping, radiator tank on drivers side was leaking as was the chrome hose to the lower radiator opening. They went on to point out that my harmonic balancer was coming apart and my motor mounts were coming apart. They suggested I replace the water pump, timing chain and sprockets too since they would be in there anyways and that wouldn't be any extra labor. Just the parts (and their markup of course) I also needed a new ac condensor, which I have and got the estimate for that too since we would be swapping radiators. The total estimate is in the 2500 range. The parts totals were radiator, 229 which seems high for a stock one, 80 for the HB, 210 for the motor mounts which seems way high, 128 for the water pump, I don't remember the misc parts charges. $75 an hour for labor too. This is WAY more then I planned on spending for sure. I have a lot done to the motor. Shouldn't I get upgraded motor mounts and balancer? I think I am pushing at least 325 at the wheels, probably more but haven't had it dynoed yet. I also wonder if some of the leaks like the intake and timing chain cover could just be a torqueing down the bolts problem instead of a gasket problem. Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks.

Just talked to Pro Speed. Taking it there in the AM. They are less than 10 minutes from my house. Even closer than Higgins. Thanks Woodrow.

ProSpeed is 400 to 1k cheaper than Higgins. Real nice people too.

Got the Stang back today. Great guys at Prospeed. Car is real smooth now. They were fast and knowledgeable. 277 RWHP 321 ft lbs of torque on the dyno. I was expecting more but at least I know where I stand now.

Glad to hear you were happy with them. I am about to take my 95gt in to Jeff Harris and let him tune it. I've been looking for awhile now and a buddy referred me to Jeff.
