M2300K
http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=1791
http://www.fordracingparts.com/download/instructionsheets/FordInstShtM-2300-K.pdf

That's a 100% FORD OEM PRODUCTION QUALITY KIT!!

For the street, your POS tires, shocks, body flex, and lack of ABS will be limiting your braking performance, not the M2300K kit.

And, if you REALLY want real-world street braking performance, then YOU MUST GO TO ABS! Again, the M2300K system is perfect for that.

BTW, as for reading about ABS on the idiot-interWeb, saying all ABS systems are the same is as moronic as saying that all gasoline engines are the same.

See http://home.comcast.net/~mjbobbitt/mustang/page1.html for the best and cheapest brake upgrades and 5 lug swaps. The site doesn't sell anything but some fittings, but the tech notes are great. It tells you what junkyard or remanufactured parts to use to upgrade your brakes. It has almost everything you could want to know about Mustang brakes on it.

Just to let you know, since when FRPP first offered the M2300K kit in the ~mid 90's, it's been discontinued and resurrected many times. It's just a matter of time before FRPP decides that it's no longer profitable to still make some of the parts and/or offer the kit.

It is 100% possible to piece together the kit - often at a much cheaper price using the still 100% good used 94/95 spindles and 94-97 axles. But, it is a lot of work/effort. IMHO, the savings is not worth the time and effort for "most" people.

Also, don't forget the costs of the "other stuff" - wheels, tires (new or swap, likely at least new for the required 17" up front), balancing, spare tire, alignment, etc, etc.

My car was a death trap before I upgraded the brakes! Really! I came very close to getting killed, and killing the person in front of me, when my POS OEM brakes did s***** when trying to slow down from a high speed (on a closed private road driven be a professional driver ;-).

IMHO, the best upgrade I did on my car was the brakes. With hindsight, I should have done that upgrade before I ever drove the car. I bought the car from my best friend - who custom ordered it and had it 100% serviced at the dealer (the car was 100% stock when I got it).

Also, all of the M2003K stuff is Ford OEM quailty - that means that it's designed and tested to last ~150K+++ miles. I'm not talking about some aftermarket stuff where "the failures are due to the misuse by the customer". Yea, riiiiight. Nor, am I talking about POS GM-"quailty" cr*p that lasts ~70K or 7 years at best.

Good Luck!
