what is the best flywheel for a street/strip motor. i heard that a light flywheel is not too good for takeoffs and not good for the street. should i just go with a stock flywheel? i do alot of street driving. thanks

Fidenza sfi aluminum flywheel. Take off's are perfect. LOVE mine! PM me if you want more real world experience. All I do is street driving in my STREET car.

I run almost exclusively street and prefer a steel or billet steel flywheel. I've driven cars with aluminum flywheels and it's not the catastophic change that some make it out to be but will require a little getting used to. You will launch differently for sure but it's something that you'll acclimate to just with regular use. I'm often pretty lazy with the stick and take my time between shifts. I prefer the extra inertia of the heavier flywheel and make more than enough torque to compensate for the extra weight.

I would run a stock iron or billet flywheel would be better if you got the extra change. I like it's driving characteristics better.

Good for daily drivers like mine:)
