What is the best undersurface paint to prevent rusting. I don't care if it is a spray paint or brush/sponge on paint.

I'll be dropping the rear axle this weekend to install UCAs and LCAs and I want to paint the axle.

Someone once told me of this black colored PPG stuff that you can brush on the undercarraige (or anywhere) else that is awesome. Can't remember the specifics of this stuff though.

Any input is much appreciated!

i think you can get some stuff called POR (paint over rust) its a paint with a rust inhibitor that sticks to everything... I'm not sure what colours it comes in though, nor where to get it, but a load of people on the 3rd Gen forum a buddy reads swear buy it...

Yeah, POR-15 is supposed to be great. Lots of guys that do restorations use it. I've got a can at home that I'm going to use on my Imperial. You can get it off Ebay for a reasonable cost.

That's great! Thanks!

I only have 9K miles on my car, no rust on axle, so it should be great for prevention.
