I agree with the post above me..If i was you i would get into the ignition, Msd 6AL controll box, Msd Wires, NGK plugs and there is a coil out there by Screamin demon that is pretty good, But what i would do first is get a Performance throtle body from BBK and get a throtle body spacer then after that get Mass Air meter by Vortec and then get a Supercharger or a Turbo..Good Luck!

pulleys, gears, short throw shifter, and a SCT XCAL 2tuner would def make a noticable difference for a few bolt ons

Let me rephrase my previous response... the twin turbos for the 4.6L mustangs run at about $6000 to $8000 just for parts. So I'd assume a basic turbo would run at a little more than half of that... havent seen a price on 3.8L engines yet....

For reference: http://www.turbochargedpower.com/96-04 Mustang.htm

Here's a supercharger kit for the 3.8: http://www.rpmoutlet.com/musv6ati.htm

$3500 out the door, basic single turbo stup. for twin turbo, add price of a second turbo and piping. maybe $4500 max.

www.tmaturbo.com

go turbo over supercharger every time.. only $100 more expensive than supercharger listed above, they last longer, cheaper/easier to upgrade, more torque, more power, no need for fuel upgrades unless you want more boost. plus you can install it yourself in the garage in a weekend or less
