best power Improving CAI

well I know it doesnt realy help power, but what will retain power and take less space in the engine bay?

the Open 7inch conical is what I want to do and I dont see it realy hurting as bad as everybody says..... but what is a good fenderwell besides mac/bbk/densecharger?

I saw a power pipe sorta deal and I dont know where to find it?, whats the largest tubing shortest traveling CAI?

preferably under 150 dollars (doesnt need to be fenderwell)

Best fenderwell system for under $150 = stock (minus the silencer) w/ k&n panel filter. The underhood conical will hurt your performance more than help it. If you want the look then get a $30 ebay kit, same as mac/bbk/etc.

My girlfriend bought one of those cheap ones off of ebay and I would say they work just as good. The filters are really small but other than that they function. It was only 34.95 and we changed the filter to a larger one, but we were after it for the look, and she said she could feel a difference. The only problem is I would spray it with some silicone or something because they start to rust easy

I have had a moroso cold air kit and just a cone k&n filter and I couldnt tell a dif between any of them. I thionk the stock air box with a panel filter will work just fine. All depends. ALot of people run the anderson power pipe, they seem to make some power. All up to what you wnat to spend, but I think the stock air box with a panel filter is just fine

AFM. :nice:

If I were to buy one (which I wouldn't) I would try to go with one with a plastic pipe. I would think the chrome ones being metal would get pretty hot adding to the problem you are already creating by sticking the filter under the hood if that is the way you are gonna go. If you are gonna go with one that still puts the filter in the fender like stock then I guess whichever looks best to you.

wholay chit, almost 200 dollars w/o filter

if I get a 4inch cowl and a Open 7inch conical right after the mass air meter I dont see how it could honestly hurt that much..... and save me 150 bucks, it will also enable me to ice the air filter before a big race

yeh and no fart pipes *******, ouch a 14.6

running a 14.6 with autometers on the A-pillar, call me rice

I dont think you will want to ice the air filter. If it gets wet, it wont flow too well at all. Then again, the hot air under the hood may dry it quickly.
