I've got a 03 GT and I would like to replace the factory plugs but I'm not sure what plug would be the best one to replace it with. With so many choices out there I would just like some opinions as to the best plug for everyday driving.

he speaks the truth. FYI an AWSF will be recomended as a stock replacement, but the AGSF has longer threads to help prevent spark plug blow out (of the head)

CobraRed,

Would you recommend the same based on the minor mods I have (mentioned on the thread I started for a recommend. on a turbo)?

with minor mods, use the same plugs. with a turbo, you want 2 steps colder.

yes, as stated before you will need to go 2 steps cooler with a blown engine, turbo or S/C. Also you will need to have a smaller gap to prevent spark blow out (boost blowing out the spark leaving unburnt fuel and carbon). So I guess i'd say an AGSF-12C at .028-.033

I have the original AWSF-32PM (platinum version of the Motorcraft plugs) and they've been great. I'm sure the copper version will perform better, but so far these OEM Motorcraft plugs are good.

This article lists the different types of plugs from Motorcraft.

There are many concerns when changing plugs and many little tricks to make the job better. I have posted them too many times to do so again...

Correction: there is NO such Sparkplug # in Motorcraft as a AGSF-12C, now there is a AWSFA-12C which is 2 steps colder but is ONLY aval in a 1/2 thread (AW) design and since this plug was originally designed for the 1996 to 1998 3.0 "Flex Fuel" Taurus, I doubt if FoMoCo will ever make it a full thread design "AG" series

That explains alot... Do you think I could find an Autolite alternative for full length thread 12C's, or are we stuck with NGK?

Heh, sorry. I just like pointing that out, because Motorcrafts are sometimes cheaper than Autolites, and it's a good bargain for sweet plugs. Motorcraft oil filters are actually Purolators, and they are one of Purolator's nicer designs. The Motorcraft filters are actually way cheaper than what Purolator charges for them.

I use AGSF-32C's, this is a good spark plug for either models
