Best wax to protect bumpers from damage ?

Hi,

Just bought a 94 Cobra and unfortunately I have to park it in the crowded Philadelphia city streets where its not uncommon for people to hit your bumpers when parallel parking- leaving scratches/chips.

My question is, what is the best (most durable) wax I can use on my bumpers to protect them from idiots. I will use regular wax on the rest of the car and the more durable/protectant wax on the bumpers for extra protection. The durable wax would also protect the front bumper from rock chips etc. when driving

Any other suggestions then? I know with the higher end cars they sell like large clear stickers you can put on your bumpers to protect the paint from chips, scratches, etc.

Yeh that's what I meant. I'm not sure how much the 3M stickers cost but I would like to do this cheap since my 94 Cobra is not a show car but I do want to keep it looking nice. I saw this on eBay, I wonder if it is as good as the 3M clear material:
