Anyone have any tips on how to get the lower spring isolator on the spring? I got it this far (see pic) but can't seem to get it any further... okay to just cut the rest off?

Have you tried hitting the isolator on the end with a rubber mallet? If that doesn't work then I don't see it hurting anything if you just trimmed that 1/4" off

Yes hitting it with the mallet was how I got it to where it is...going to try using some of the grease for the other side...

throw the spring in a freezer for a few hours and the metal will contract more than the silicone isolator. Spray some PB blaster in there and wiggle it off.
