Whats the best wiring harness for the money. I'll have to upgrade to one of these newer type universal harness's for my 69 coupe. Which is best? Painless looks good but E Z wiring looks good for half the price also. Anyone use any of these?

ive got an ez harness in mine and have used a painless before on a friends car and for the diff im price the painless aint worth it in my opinoin there were a few things better like the digarmns were a little better with the painless though so if u got any experince with wiring go ez wiring :)

Check out centechwire.com their fuse box looks a little cheesy but there kits are for Fords. I even think they have connectors. I am doing the Painless(full) great quality but the PITA are figuring out the switches and what wire does what from the stock plugs.

I just got my EZ wiring harness the other day. Im using the EZ Mini 20. The only offer it in the GM color coding but who cares. Wiring is pretty easy and the wires are labeled every 6" or so. Do yourself a favor and do it right. I suggest heat shrinking every connector (atleast in the engine bay) and solder wires. Yeah, you can crimp stuff but if you do it right once you wont ahve to mess with it again.

I have used the painless wiring universal for a past 66 and am currently using one for my 65. I like them because you can add on other options without having to splice into any wires, like power windows, locks, electric feul pump etc. They are well marked and bundled in groups, like under dash, engine bay, rear lights etc.

XOXO is right, take your time and solder everything. I tried to crimp on my last one and it took forever to work out all the bugs.

a wiring harness is only as good as the install. that said, the quality of all the aftermarket harnesses are all pretty good. take your time and solder all connections and cover them with heat shrink tubing. also use the corrigated plastic tubing to protect the harness. and dont forget to clip the harness in place to prevent it moving around.

Ok guys thanks i purchased the EZ harness couldnt really beat the price and i have power windows and thinking about doing power locks. So this looked like the best deal.
