I was using a gear calculator and with 4.10 gears, and the 1.00 3rd gear ratio of the trans, and at 6000rpm shift point I would be doing around 110mph. That aint going to happen on the street with me driving.
But on those long stretches of highway.....late and night, when nobodies around?
If you're run a top end blast, just make sure you either turn the OD off, or let off on the gas a little until it's shifted into O/D....just so it doesn't "bang" into place.

Its pretty funny that people who have the crappiest manual tranny Ford ever shipped (TR3650) are criticizing the great 4R70W
I would kill for a 4R70W in my Cobra, I really miss it (no I will not swap with you)
I would've kept my auto if it hadn't crapped out. I really do miss it whenever I'm at the track. But on the street, 6-speed FTW!

very very true. The Install was not hard at all. Took about 30 min total time. Took more time to take console out then it did too install shifter. LOL
