ok so im doing the big three and from what i see the alt wire goes to the fuse box and a jumper wire from the fuse box to the positive batt terminal so i was thinking can i just put the new alt wire straight th the alt to the batt and still have my jumper wire the same place from fuse box to batt because the flow of current should be the same right?

Run it to the fuse box. Nothing should connect to the battery other than the power wire feeding the power distribution block.

Fuse this wire to the alt according to the wire size you choose and not the alternator amperage.

Also, remove the factory engine block ground and install a single good ground from block to chassis. Don't do like what import guys do and install 50 grounds everywhere. You could potentially create ground loops which could cause issues.

No, if the starter connected to the battery directly it would run constantly.
