I just bought a 90 gt for a $100 bucks needed bumper fender hood and a windshield but whatever I replaced the tps sparkplugs wires fuel filter air filter so far I can't get it to idle correct it revs fine, but it sounds like it back fires through the mass air or throttle body when i idles, sounds like it has a cam in it and then it dies any help would be good.

might want to change the maf sensor... mine backfired threw the TB and changed it and fixed it... also check out your check engine codes to see what is really wrong with it

my maf sensor the sensor itself you plug into the top is cracked I know its a stupid question but would that cause the bad idle and it barely wants to start if it does it stalls right out.

Clean out the IAC with Throttle Body cleaner. Reset the TPS to .95 volts or anything within .92~.98

Unplug the negative battery terminal and let the Memory run out, ~1Hr

Make sure the Throttle Body is sparkling clean.

Unplug the connections and clean it out with electrical connector cleaner (use dialectric grease also)

The Idle Problem sucks, New Oxygen sensors would be a great idea also.

Check your vaccum hoses coming off the Vac. tree located on the driverside firewall. Make sure all the Vac hoses, and lines are in good, and snug up the connections.

Also check the Vac. lines coming off the intake.

Replace the PCV valve (Napa), get a grommet from Napa, new screen.

Just regular tuneup stuff also, Cap, Rotor, some Seafoam too.

Grounds can be problematic..need to be checked. Vac lines can be very sneeky...check all the lines. Check PCV valve grommet for good seal. Use the Idle set method found on corral.net

That could cause your problem.

I suggest you start with the basics first like Henceforward mentioned.
