What are people's thoughts on the MT82 and 650hp? The Shelby comes with a Tremec... I just don't want to grenade this thing. My buddy had a '95 Cobra with a T5 that got destroyed when he put some Nittos on it and snatched 2nd hard. Next thing you know, you could here metal flying around the gearbox. I get the feeling the MT82 is just a T5 older brother.

Thinking I may go auto on for my next one. Everyone seems to be happy with their autos and blowers.

I'm curious as well. I'm pretty close to purchasing a blower of some kind and haven't found much information as to the strength of the mt82.

I did see someone on another forum making 762. That's damn impressive. So it appears that it can handle big power, at least initially. Interesting to see if it holds up.

That is pretty impressive hopefully he can daily drive it and rail it down the track with that much power.

They make new pistons every day, so why worry?

I've got a buddy that just tanked his M82T with a whipple making 600 ish rwhp.... it's destroyed, really destroyed.... It has more to do with the aggressive driving/shifting style than the HP. He would have broke it in stock form given enough time

You need a Tremec for forced induction.
