biggest adv. exhaust duration w/ stock style pistons

just looking for a ballpark figure on a safe range, not tryin to go as big as possible and im gonna check ptv of course but it would be cool to know that it SHOULD be ok before i drop the coin on a new cam
and also im probably goin with a dual pattern style either voodoo or comp XE
anyone run either of these, thoughts on them?
