Bike rack for the mustang?

Need a rack?

Check out Hollywood bike racks, Thule and I think Yakima, I have seen them. I dont know if a hitch rack would work but that is another option. I ride DH bikes but use a roof mount rack when I need it. Hope that helps.

Paully's5.0...no leg humping from me...I DO NOT HAVE A HITCH...I was commenting on the earlier comment about a hitch on a mustang... I will give you the "H@LL NO!!!" Again, the brand is U-Haul" sorry at work so no picts, It has 4 padded "legs", 2 sit on the bumper and 2 rest on the fin. 4 adjustable lines with rubber coated "v" clips that connect to the top edge of the hatch and 2 to the far endge of the lower bumper (way under there..like the part you never see unless the car is on a lift).

Screw the trunk rack, get a nice roof rack/luggage rack on top! That's where it's at these days...

I'm also thinking about putting a bike rack on my mustang (06)
I know it might look STUPID.... but i have to park a mile away from campus every day and walking takes SO much time out of my day. i live too far to just bike there in the first place. until we get a truck, a bike rack just seems practical...

that's the best one i've found.
it looks pretty easy to put on and remove, so it's not like i'd have to use it anywhere but driving to class and back.

what do you think, is it too awful to do to my poor mustang???

i'm not the strongest person in the world, nor am i the most coordinated. it would be incredibly inconvenient for me to try and work a bike in and out of my trunk two times a day....

i'd only use it to class and back... it looks pretty easy to take off and put on...

Those trunk racks rub up the paint, I know because I run a similar one on my Fusion.

Love all the flamers in this 6 year old thread! Nothing wrong with using a hobby car to pursue other hobbies!

I think some cars look good with a roof rack.

In the winter I love seeing Audis with snow tires and skis on top

Thread revival! I am gonna put trays on my foxbody! I may even design and weld up my own hitch receiver! Then again it won’t look as stupid on my fox!
