i doubt you need it, just for racing sake you would need it, or just for extra insurance it could be worth it, think of the damage a shattered flywheel can do..
Well I'm using a McLeod scatter shield since the stock aluminum TKO bellhousing are currently unavailable,
so if it does come apart at least it should stop it.
