I'm a Newbie here and could use some help. I've been doing searchs to try and answer my questions but this one's got me stumped :( . I've ordered my 2007 GT and want to line up some mods for when it arrives (in about 6 weeks ARG!).

I'd like to put the grill and emblem that is used on the Hurst (pic below) and the Shelby GT on my car. I imagine Ford must be buying them from some aftermarket company with the small number of cars involved???

Has anyone got any ideas besides trying to go thru Ford

Thanks in advance

Thanks praztek. That sure looks like the emblem :D . Any ideas on the billet grill. I've seen a lot of grills for the V6 Mustang that look like the one I'm after. I called CDC and they told me the V6 and V8 grills won't interchange even without the V8 fog lights installed

I found this on Ebay Motors but I don't know anything about this company "Caseyscustomz":

Glad to help. This is where I bought mine, very pleased. I bought the one with the center fog light cutout including the lower grille as well. I would think the V6 one in the pic would fit the GT? Ask before you buy, I was going to delete the fogs and go the same route that your heading, maybe in the future...for now I love it!

This one is cheaper than the one your seeing on ebay, but I have to say quality is great.

My endless searching turned up this Blow By Racing "Old School Look" billet grille. I called them and they will be getting these replacement grilles from a new supplier in about 4 weeks. The new version will be powder coated black on the inside with brushed or polished aluminum faces. They require removal of the GT grille and fog lights. They are held in place by 4 L-shaped brackets and screws. The brackets and the bumper need to be drilled for No. 10 screws. The grille will fit the stock GT bumper and several different body kits. Here's a pic off their web site:

Next I'll try calling Shelby and see if I can find out about their Hurst and Shelby GT grilles.....

And the price is?

I used the standard Ford Mustang driver side emblem for my front grille.
Same basic look as above pics..... not much money.

I used epoxy to secure it to the grille.

As for my Street Sceans center fog light grille..... I paid waaaaay too much for it, and the quality stinks. Thankfully it looks good.

ACtually Blow By makes their own design. I've been talking to the guys at BBR for a couple months since I heard that new grille was coming. So when he says 4 weeks, maybe pad that a bit.

Cervini's is also a good place to get them. FWIW the new grille BBR is working on is supposed to cost $200 instead of $250 and the brackets are supposedly stronger (to stand up to UPS beating the boxes during shipping). They'll also provide a fully black powder coated grille (which is what I'm waiting for) and the delays seem to be around designing brackets to mount hidden PIAA fog lights behind the grille.

The grille on the Hertz rental car was actually only an overlay grille. I'm not sure about the new Shelby GT if it's overlay or a straight up replacement.
