I have a 1990 LX hatch with a 5.0 and 5-speed. Its is N/A, my mods are in my sig. but I'm wondering if it's possible to put a blow off valve on a N/A car. I know the purpose of one on a turbo/supercharged engine, but can it be done on a car without one? Just so when I hit that RPM or shift it comes on?

Hope this is a joke....if not, go ahead and do yourself a favor and buy a turbo kit for your car that can actually use the blow offvalve

Yes, it can be done. You can purchase a kit off e-bay that shoots compressed air when you shift, mimicking the bov sound.

But it's pretty gay

Well, no I'm not dumb, nor do have I driven any of those cars. For the first time in 4 months, I haven't had to work on a Saturday, I was bored, with nothing to watch on tv, so I thought to put a fun thread up.

Sorry for the confusion

On that note, I must say NO. I do drive a 98 Civic as my daily driver, but it is 100% stock and will never be modded. With gas at $3.20/gallon, I am parking my stang for a while. The only thing even in the same leage of 'ricers' is my system that I'm still in the process of putting in. Its a Kicker S15L7 sub, Cadence Z1500 amp, JVC deck, and custom box. If you take that stuff out, you have nothing even close to a ricer's car. Just pure american muscle.

But boy is it fun to hear the ricer's string trimmer engine rev up, then rev my 5.0 up.

How'd you guess? Yeah I'm a Jr. in High School, but have been around mustangs my whole life. I learned to drive on a '79 4-speed 4 banger when I was 8. My neighbor has a 93 cobra with 9 PSI of S-trim, my uncle has an 88 GT with a 342, he didn't have the money to get it bored out. But yes, I am 16, turn 17 Nov. 25.

And no, I don't want a BOV, nor do I need it.

Yes we know you dont want a BOV, you just want the SOUND!!! lol@this thread.

I mean who needs the turbocharger, intercooler and everything else behind the blow off valve when you could just have the blow off valve, or better yet, just the sound of the blow off valve. The only thing cooler than making horsepower is SOUNDING like your making horsepower!!! YEAH
