Blower motor durability and driving habits

Ever wonder how other guys drive their blower cars to get an idea of how yours may last? When I first got my supercharger put on, I hammered it to redline thru 3rd gear everytime a new person got in the car. Just couldn't believe what it did to the car. Probably did this 20 to 30 times the first year. Then I got to thinkin.....this is alot of wasted rpms wearing my engine out that will better be used against some unwary bow-tie later on. Now when I drive the car I will get into boost a few times, but I try not to nail it that hard unless some freakin idiot is driving 50mph in front of me. Question is, do I really need to worry about it? Will these cars, tuned right to eliminate detonation, running good clean oil (like Mobil 1), and producing less than say 375 RWHP, take the abuse? I would appreciate your opinions.

I have heard that also, but is that with a person redlinin the car everytime he drives it? I didn't mean for this thread to sound like a stupid question, cause I have read some pretty stupid stuff on here, like "How much brake fluid does my stang hold?" Gimme a brake (pardon the pun)..by a can a fill it up dumbass.

I was just hoping to hear some say that they hammer the hell out of their cars all the time with no ill affects. The immpression that I get on here is that many do. Just wondered if that was a true perception.
