Has anyone seen a 5.0 Cammer with a supercharger or turbo intalled?

Welcome to the board. Haven't seen one myself. To tell you the truth, for what they cost, I'm not sure if anyone could afford to do both.

Also for future reference, this is the "Tech" section of the 4.6L forum. Further non Tech related questions with regards to mod motor vehicles should be posted in "Talk".

how is this not tech? he's asking about forced induction on an otherwise n/a engine.

to answer your question yes there was a cammer that had a s/c on it. thing is though that cammer had a dual opening intake and had the blower going into both throttle bodies. they of course lowered the compression on it to accomadate the FI now it. i believe that it was making 600 horsies.

Hmmmm, he didn't ask how to do it, or that he was interested in doing it, just asked if anyone had seen it. That makes if a general question, not Tech and therefore it belongs in Talk. End of lesson!

going by that logic then, anybody who wants info on an engine or tranny which they could use for a technical matter of planning an engine build, etc...all questions should be asked in talk then. only matters of actually applying/installing fi, cams, gears, and exhaust, etc should be in tech.

Gearbanger, thank you for the welcome. I am considering the possibility of a forced induction 'Cammer'. Since it has only become available recently I assumed that there is not many people who have had much experience with this engine setup. Hence the general question.
Bornstanger, thanks for your informative reply. Did you notice who had manufactured it?

Just remember 11:1 compression on that cammer. Also, the crate engine in the FRPP has a single throttle body.

They had one at SEMA last year, problem being, they have not even shipped 1 of these engines yet. I undertstand it is getting closer to becomming a reality. SHM actually is taking pre-orders, but the price is steep.
