I am on my 3rd fuel rail pressure sensor ( not 100% sure this terminology is correct, but should be close enough). I am thinking that some thing else is causing sensor to quit functioning.

Anyone have this problem? What was the solution. Mods are in my sig.

FRPS failures are a common problem on the '03 & '04's.

You'll have to take this question over to the guys at ModularFords.com. There are a couple different scenarios where the result can be a blown FRPS. I'm no guru on the fuel system on these beasts so you're better off asking this over there. The discussion on what causes FRPS's to fail and what steps are required to rectify or isolate the cause can be found in their 03/04 Terminator section.

Thanks Meat,

Actually have a post on that site, but no help yet. I did see a mention on SVTPerformance about KB making a disc to prevent blowing FRPS. I will contact KB and let you know what I find out -- I posted here because you have been a big help in the past.

Uncle Meat

Just a follow up on the whole FRPS issue. KB and CPR make spacers help to eliminate the pressure spikes that high boost conditions can cause which routinely blow the FRPS. The spacer is does no more than to take the sensor out of the direct path of the pressure increast and therefore, prevent the damaging boost spike form hitting the FRPS.

ok,

Seem to have a solution. KB makes a disc for stock fuel rail tha works. Problem is that CPR fuel rail, disc just falls throught the rail. So I got a 2 mm set screw, heated it up to red hot to untemper it, drilled it through with a 49/1000 ths bit and set in into the bottom of the FRPS and it has worked so far. Use this info for you own purposes at this point. Do not post this at any other sites, as this inof is patent pending. This will not make any difference until you are making 24+ psi boost, but here is the info in advance.
