I hope I don't regret this but after the centrifugal super charger upgrade (paxton 2200 intercooler) a few weeks ago I am going nutz deep and going for the 4.10 rear gear swap.

Everyone seems split down the middle. Some guys say keep the 3.55 some say go for the 4.10 I figured since she does not spool up until near 3500 RPM a 4.10 should put me in the boost range much quicker.

Id say my driving style is to occasionally (on deserted roads of course) ramp up to 100 mph quick then back off. I don't spend much time over 100. the 4.10 should get me there quicker.

I also would like to see the car burn rubber merely by pushing the throttle in 2nd running 30-40...to me when you can scorch the tires while in a at motion state...that = POWER.

I think you'll be amazed at the difference in hole shot power the 4:10's make (at least in MHO). But there are other ratios between 3:55 and 4:10, like 3:73 and 3:90 you might want to consider a compromise.

Good luck to you what ever you decide.

Wahoo... 4.10's installed today by Tim Matherly, No noise, and she pulls VERY hard... and yes a 2nd rolling burnout is possible. I DID IT. No regrets at all.

http://www.mvperformance.com Tim did a bang up job and the staff there was very knowledgeable and know their stuff. Perfectionist they are.

Traction from a stop is of course a bigger problem but it was before too.

I was running 4.10's with a Procharger at 11 lbs on my '05 and that was the right gear IMO. I had traction trouble in cooler weather, but it was perfect in the summer.

Whipple and 4:10s and I can break traction bad in 3rd. 4:10s with the the procharger should be a great combo. Much more useable than with a twin screw.
