Blown Out Spark Plug

I have a 2004 Mustang GT one of the plugs has blown out of the heads I bought a tap 14mm 1.25 to rethread the head, the tap is to small for the strip spark plug hole, so I try the tap on another spark plug hole and the tap is still to small but when I bought plugs for the car I bought for a stock and all plugs fits with no issues. How can I fix this? I bought the tap at O'Reilly's for 10 bucks!

Google "time-sert spark plug repair ford". This is what many people believe to be the best kit for this common problem. You can probably find videos for the fix on YouTube.

Yep can't tap a hole that has no material. Time sert for the win. I'm surprised your 04 heads have an issue. They are the 8/9 tread heads that were made to solve that issue.

I have a blow out spark plug from my 2004 mustang GT I would like to have it repair with the Ford Triton Spark Plug Repair Kit 5553 does anyone know of a automotive shop in Bradenton FL that does this type of repair?

Yep, that's a time sert kit. Never heard it called a "triton" repair.

question! i own a 2004 ford mustang gt 40th anniversary ed. with premium package and im being told that the heater core tube coming from the intake should be metal after 2002 and mines plastic still... do i not have the original engine? i bought it brand new and im original owner so i was told but this has me questioning that now... can anybody give me insight? any other 04 mustang gt owners have the platic nipple coming off or is it alluminum?
