I believe that this box is computer for the Airbag. It is a blue box behind the stereo, that beeps - air bag light is flashing. What would happen besides disabling the airbag, if I were to unplug it. Now I know I should disconnect the battery for approx. 10min. before messing with the airbag, but I am not sure what would happen if I just unplugged it.

don't you want to keep your airbag? There's a default switch in a lot of cars, and if any wires relating to the airbag are unplugged, then the "dumby light" will flash from then on. A think the mechanics at Ford can stop it

The thing has the worst BEEPING sound and it will not stop. Sure I'd love to keep my airbag, but I need a quick fix just to stop the beeping... I wasnt sure if unplugging it would do any harm??

Yea I rode in his car for like 15 min and had to have radio cranked up to drown out that beeping. If the airbag lights up you could always just take the bulb out of it till you get around to fixing it.

The beeping indicates that you have a problem with your air bag light or system. I would get it checked at ford if you don't want to wreck anything... i would feel nervous messing with the air bag system.
