If you are talking about the company that sells alot of stuff off ebay, I have used them before. I got my new cobra headlights from them for pretty cheap. The only complaint I have about the lights is that they let just a little bit of moisture get inside and fog up the inside of the light. But that is a easy fix, just havnt had time to do it yet. If I recall they shipped pretty quick and were all around pretty good to deal with. Hope this helps out.

I have a set of BOI smoked headlights on my car. I love them. No condensation or leaks at all.

I kinda have to agree with the guys in that other thread ..... maybe you should have reported the problem sooner.

I should have reported it sooner, I agree also. I was happy with the headlights for sure, it's just too bad they're junk. From the responses Ive seen on here and on svtperformance, and chitown racing, these leak, break, and deteriorate frequently and there are plenty of unhappy people. My objective here was to 1. come to some kind of resolution for the problem other than buying another set, or loosing the 3 good lenses I have for $60. 2. hope for an even exchange for a new set, and 3. make people aware that the stuff he carries isn't all that great of a quality product for the price he advertises them for. He told me he pays wholesale $120 from the old manufacturer and sells these for $205. That's a hell of a profit off of junk parts.

I dont manipulate anything, I posted pics of the SMOKED PRODUCTS FROM BLUE OVAL INDUSTRIES installed on my car. Common sense would allow someone to see HEADLIGHTS, CORNERS, AND FOGS. You're still missing the point John. I have consulted a third party regarding warranties and the legalities regarding the justification and proof of damage prior to a warranties expiration. I will have more information later.

I also see you've created accounts within the last 24 hours to try to save face. Obviously if I was the only one with a problem, you wouldn't be so concerned.

I have those exact headlights and corners and put them on over a year ago. No problems, leaks, or anything else. They still look brand new.

BOI packaged the lights very well and I couldn't be happier. After every carwash, they simply look new and not an ounce of moisture inside. I never sealed them, just put them on straight out of the box.

The customer is #1

this is all that matters in business.

threads like this have a lot of potential to damage potential (and past) business relationships.

Arguing on a forum with a customer is NEVER a good idea.

just some observations from a 3rd party with no bias to either side

It sucks that your lights got screwed up but as you and everyone else knows, your dealing with aftermarket stuff. Which means keep a good eye on it until your warranty is up. For your own good.

I'm not taking either side, because no matter what's said online. You never really know what was said in the emails or the phone.

There's 2 key points that were mentioned by you:

1) You called them after the warranty was up. Even though it's 1 day, it's still over no matter what.

You knew your lights were damaged before the warranty ran out, so why didn't you call earlier.

2) BOI tried to make good by offering you a credit on a product that's out of warranty and you refused?? They will eat that money because of accepting your return. It's not the stores fault that the manufacture screwed up.

I know a few people that have ordered stuff from BOI and have had no problems. Although there's good and bad items. It's a chance that you take buying aftermarket stuff.
