bolt in alternator......help!!

alright i have underdrive pullies and im trying to get the old pullie off the alternator, how do i do this? i tryed bracing it with a pry bar and getting the nut off and it bent one of the fins, speaking of which do i need to use the stock alternator fan again? how do i get this bolt off??

impact wrench should get that nut loose.

yea impact wrench is about the only way to do it

And you do need to reuse the fan -- so bend it back!

im not sure if i have an impact wrench, is there anything else that i can use? and its only one fin on the fan, will that make a differance?

absolutely, that will throw off the balance of the fan. Carefully bend it back. Your local tire store will probably take it off no charge, just for return business. Call one up and ask them if they'll do it.

The only other way, That I can think of is to reinstall the alternator and serpantine belt (giving the pulley some resistance, and giving a hammering with a small hammer on a breaker.-might not work though and be a complete waste of time.

I wouldn't put the pulley on anyway. It's only gunna give you charging problems. Leave the stock alt pulley on, or buy an ASP overdrive pulley to get the stock RPM on the alt back.
