Have original axle backs on the ‘08 and want to put on different ones. Can’t get the old mufflers off though. Where the exhaust pipe fits over the axleback inlet pipe I’ve tried wd40 and penetrating oil, and banging with a mallet. Won’t free up. If I tried heating the outside pipe with a torch would that help?

Heat will help, but it's not guaranteed. Depending on how long those two pieces of metal have been together will play a factor. Heat and penetrate fluid should help, but at some point, it may just be easier to take it to a Pro. I just replaced my axleback Borla S with the Touring, and someone had placed a tiny tack weld on each pipe, so I also had to grind off the tack weld, and then the pipe would slide off. But I would bet the pipes weren't more than 5+- years old.
