I am looking for some black cloth racing seats that will bolt directly in the stock mustang mounting holes or some brackets that you can buy to use with racing seats ! thanks......

Corbeau hands down.

They are the ONLY company (that ive seen) that makes Model Specific brackets. They position the seat in the stock location and wont position the seat higher or lower like some companies brackets will.

I bought the A4 seats and the mustang brackets right after I bought the car.

Best money ive spent on my car to date.

I would strongly recomend not getting APC seats... I sat in one and it feels like a metal bucket with cloth on it. No padding at all.

I paid about $800 for mine but that was a while back.

50resto.com lists the A4's for $640 a pair. The A4 reclines. If you want a fixed back seat they start at $424 a pair. And the brackets are $80 each I believe.
So you could get a nice set of seats that will fit perfectly for ~$600

I got rid of APC seats cause you have to make your own bracket. And they sit so high in my friends car (sold them to him ) they make you look like a moron

A lot of those seats tell you they fit a 36" waist. Would my 38 fit in there? Or do I need to go with the 42 incher?

I got the wide A4's go on Corbeau's website for a better size description.
I have about a 36" waist and im glad I got the wide version. It does feel tight for a while, but thats only because I was used to the stock seats with no side support. I love them. As I said, best money ive spent on the car.

im running a Recaro SRD in my 93gt and I LOVE IT... it makes me sit a bit lower and has alot more travel for/aft but i'm 6'7" and i needed it. Cost me about $600 used for one... but as soon as i can find another one, it'll be going in the passenger side (they dont make the SRD anymore... its called the Speed now)

Super quality... check them out

The APC's will not fit anyone larger than me. They barely fit my friend. And if you have wide shoulders it aint gonna happen. They hug me though, I guess one small advantage to being medium framed. I'm 6'0 185lbs, 36" waist.

But let me repeat, as mentioned before, Corbeau has brackets. No one else does. I looked EVERYWHERE. DO NOT GET APC unless you can weld your own brackets.
