Hey everyone,
I ahve a slight problem....I had an oil pan gasket leak  . So I changed it, but I lost two of the &%^^*^!$&* bolts. Does anybody know the size and thread count of these? Also, I am going to plug up my transmission cooler lines in radiator, what is the size?

DAMNIT! so here i am lookin for all the bolt sizes and i've got the manuals, what page?

Depends on what you're looking for. For example, with the oil pan bolts I just looked up the illustrated breakdown of the 5.0 engine, found the oil pan bolt in the illustration and noted the index number. On the next page you see a list of illustration index numbers and the corresponding part. Bolts are usually listed with size, pitch and length information.

Let me know what you're looking for and I'll help you look if you don't find it. I only have the 1988 Body, Chassis/Electrical, and Powertrain manuals though along with the 1988 spec book and 1988 & 1993 EVTM.

I have the 87, i've been trying to check the bolt info for the bellhousing, I kno the bolts that go along the top are grade 8, 7/16"-14pitch but I don't know the length. Then 2 starter bolts which I believe I have but if not I'm pretty sure they're the same size as the top ones just a shorter. Then i think there were two smaller bolts at the very bottom that I don't know the size of so that's pretty much what i'm looking for. I also have 8 7/16 bolts 4" long because I'd heard that was the length but I think they're too long so I'd like to know the length if you know it.

In my books the bellhousing bolts are shown in one of the illustrations in the clutch section, but there are no specs listed for them. I tried to cross reference the part numbers and came up empty. Ford might have changed the part numbers. I didn't see an illustration for the starter in the mounted position only an exploded view of the internals so no mounting bolts were shown.
