You obviously have some sort of mental problems, how can you not like the '05, it's superior in everyway to any previous stang.

Joking aside, this thing seems to hook like a mofo outta the hole.

Well now hold on a second! The '05 is great but nothing looks better than a '69 Boss (302 or 429...you choose!).

Yeah, he needs to post the slip to back it up. Hopefully we'll see it soon.

Ditto!!! Though I prefer the '69 302 for looks- the '70 302 is nice as well- but the hockey stick strip is not as nice as the '69 C stripe!

Timeslip my behind! I want to see a video - and also one of him/her going around the car showing it is stock.

After racing a guy who claimed to be stock except for slicks - and finding out he had several things done (not for money of course but he could at least have been honest). I can post up slips all day long where I ran 13.0's and lower and could claim them to be stock runs but who is to tell otherwise. If I were to see it I could believe it. Another thing - say I go up against someone and run a 14.0 and he/she runs a a 13.2, then I could claim that slip as mine. I am a skeptic unless I see it. there are so many internet racers out there that just want to show how low they run and do not care about honesty...

Impressive e.t., not-that-exciting mph.. When you're out in the country powering through sweepers and honking down straightaways, 1.8-1.9 60-foot times are fairly irrelevent. Don't get me wrong, I'm an avid dragger. It's those same kind of 60-foot times that gets my Lightning such fantastic results (low 13's). But I like a car that'll really pull like a locomotive from 40-50 mph on-up, not just win 1-block stoplight sprints. Don't kill me, I'm not flaming, the performance is great for being a GT. But it doesn't seem to have the legs of the Mach. Gearing or not....

Are you talking about the manual or auto? Maybe I haven't looked around enough but a lot of the results I've seen with the '05 have been with automatics, so I'm just making sure we're comparing apples to apples so to speak.

Either way I think it's a good place to start especially for those who plan on modding their new Stang.

Does 102 seem a little low for 13.2x? And I definitely need a timeslip....that's fuggin awesome if it indeed did run low 13's stock....but it's hard to believe without some proof.

Not for a sub 2.0 sixty foot like that I don't think. Just means this car hooks well and launches hard. I remember when the Mach first came out, Cobrakiller made a 13.1 @ 101 1/4 mile pass with just DRs on his car. I have the vid on my computer still somewhere.

Yea, I just read he cranked a 1.86 60'.....that's really diggin out of the hole pretty quick for a stock ride....especially on those pizza cutter tires.

He would need to crank a low 1.7 to high 1.6 to get that number.

Thusfar I haven't seen much of a difference in mph between posted manual and auto times (which has me eating a tiny bit of crow), BUT, it's still early in the game. I'm waiting to see somebody with a hot foot come on here and post a good slip with a good 60' time with a manual.
