I am having mine done right at this moment. Just the boring is $152 with torque plates.

Why would you do that?

qplk11 - It is to acheive a fresh cylinder wall for new piston rings to "ride" on. It gives you maybe another 4 horsepower or so. Boring an engine isn't meant to gain power but to sustain an effective engine rebuild. You need a bit bigger pistons (.030 thousandths bigger) to fill the new wider hole.
