I'm looking into getting the Borla Side exit for my GT. I was wondering if anyone has it and what they think of it? How does it sound?
I'm looking for an exhaust that isn't all that loud. Something thats a little louder than stock with little drone. I've always liked the side exit exhaust and now that Borla has it on sale for $500 I think I might get it. Any opinions?

From what ive heard, the side-exit setups are usually pretty loud compared ot the stock exhaust. Go to www.mustangexhaust.com and see if you can find it on there or just listen to the Borla setups to get an idea of the tone and volume.

the borla side exit is fairly quiet even with an O/r mid pipe. I had it and didnt like it so I switched to flowmaster 1 chamber mufflers to match my O/r H pipe. I love the way my car sounds now.

I checked www.mustangexhaust.com and couldn't find any sound clips of the side exit. I checkout the other Borla set ups they have on that site, and I like the sound, but its hard to get an idea of how loud they are.
I currently have the Magnapacks and I love the sound, but I want something quieter.

I had these, the steeda version, which are repackaged borlas. They were of very poor quality. they were welded wrong coming out of the box, they would never line up right no matter how much i tinkered with them. Not to mention, they are as quiet as stock, not remotely loud at all. Save your money, i paid $700 for mine and ended up giving them away. buy a set of muffers you like the sound of and tips, take it to a shop and have them assemble it for you. that way it'll fit your car perfectly.
Right now i'm running a side exit with no mufflers, now thats loud, sounds real wicked at WOT.
