Well head gaskets blew on the dyno when it was getting tuned. So now is the time for the bottom end to be built. I am considering my options which are buy a short block built for a blower application or use the existing block and change the crank pistons connecting rods get the block bored out to a 306 1/2" mains that sort of thing. The mods I have done are in my sig. The engine only has 78000km original. Opinions on what I should do, the car has to pass air care and is going to be a street car. Also what head gaskets should I run with this setup. I am runnin 12lbs of boost. What parts do you reccommend?

Why do you need a shortblock if all you did was blow the head gaskets? If you didn't drive it around, it still should be fine.

i was thinking the same thing. Why fix right now what is not broken. If the engine is running strong then no need to build a bottom end at this point. Waste of money cuz what you have still works.

I want to rebuild the bottom engine as I am going to pull the motor. The head gasket blew for too high of compression that is why im rebuilding it with low comp pistons and I am doing everyting else as well. So what do you reccomend for a rotating assembly let me know what you run.

Do yourself a favor and don't use Dss, there is some many dss horror stories, i've seen a few in person, and a ton here and other sites.

Try CHP.
