the rain kinda sucked but still had a good time. only got to watch about a hour and a 1/2 of racing tho. me and a friend was over at the dynojet getting ready to watch a pull when i heard this noise. we were looking around for a cammed up 5.0 when a focus drove beside us thumping the ground. 331 in a focus.....wow

There was one on ebay about a year and a half ago with a 347 stroker in it that was converted to rear wheel drive and ran like low 11's

I've got a couple videos of 351W Focus'. Plus, if you ever saw that Focus Fanatic magazine, the first issue had a Ford-backed Focus built with ALL '03 Cobra drivetrain...engine/trany/IRS and all, and it was flat out sick.

Damn really? I see the Focus as a decendant of a car that a lot of people will laugh when i say performance wise, but a decendant of the Escort! There were a lot of really badass Escorts back in the day (Cosworth, WRC etc.). The Focus is actually a pretty fun car to drive...even better than the Escort ever was. If they'd have given us a supercharged Focus then it would really be sweet.

As for the RWD conversion and stroker.....that's so badass. I would seriously drive the crap out of one of those. The magazine article i read with the '03 Cobra powered Focus was great because it looked totally bone stock on the outside except for some nice wheels. It even fit under the stock hood. They said people would do crazy double takes and look around for the car to match the sound and people at stop lights would gawk and stare.

They have a focus over at a dealership nearby thats nice and touched up. Gots a tank of NOS in the back. Says if you open it though it voids the warranty. But says if you dont then its all kosher.

I actually found this in my favorites from a long time ago. It was a beastly focus. Unfortunaly it looks like they took the pictures down =(. But you can read about all the cool **** it had.

For once, I agree with you Rstang. I got to ride in one of these converstions once. You all think that Fox bodies have issues with rear traction???? Don't get me wrong... if I had nothing but money and time, I'd probably do the same thing just for the cool and sleeper factor. Still... actual practicality is a bit lean with that kind of thing. hehe

Now a mini-tub and a small turbo.... Hmmmmmmm.
