When you change brake pads, you have to change both sides. Is this true when changing calipers also, the fronts are in question if that matters.

I would. Brake pads, rotors, tires or anything like that I replace symmetrically.

I've replaced just one bad caliper numerous times with no noticeable change in braking (nice srtaight stops with hands off the steering wheel).

Well like bdcardinal, and SilverBullet00 said, you dont HAVE too, but if you have the money, just do it.. sometimes it works just fine, but this is braking. One of the most important things about your car and your safety. Never 2nd guess your safety. IMO

Would love to but not going to be able to afford them at the time. I'm going to get both just to be on the safe side. Thanks for the replies.
