my brake lights have went out on my car. the running lights and turn signals work. i took my multi-meter and checked voltage at the switch. i got good voltage on the hot side but i mashed the pedal and nothing on the other side of the switch. I hope this means the switch is bad? please help!!

I think if you try hooking a jumper between the two switch leads and get the brake lights to work, the switch is the problem.
