My brake warning lights have recently come on in my 1970 power drum stang. Seemed to pop up when I got a vacuum leak from changing carb gasket. Fixed the leak but lights stayed on. Brakes are fine in car. Is htere a way to reset it. I would be okay with disconnecting altogether if I new where the switch was - any help would be appreciated. thanks

:nono: Your brakes are not Fine..... that light tells you there is an imbalance in the line pressure to the front or rear brakes.

it needs to be recentered to make the light go out.

Disconnecting it is just fooling yourself........and indangering others.

Thanks - I found some posts on recentering. I did have a leak in back awhile ago that I fixed. Not sure why now it would cause a problem. Seemed kind of a coincidence that it showed up same time I was lost vacuum due to leak in carb gasket. Anyway appreciate your advice even if it was in stern tone. You been right on the money so far..

You are good!! Changed the grommet to power booster - old one kept popping off and was probably leaking. Appreciate the advice. My goal is to fix this car right - just get's little frustrating some time..
