Hello, this site was recommended to me by someone at the Corvette forum I use. We bought my wife a 2006 Mustang the other day. It has a 4.0L engine, SOHC, Pony package and leather. 44,000 miles. I live in Douglasville, GA. I need to know more details about this car. For instance, where do I find the type of transmission it has, I mean the number like if it is a type 4F or whatever I saw in the manual. It is an auto. Also, where can I buy a factory service manual for it?

I have a Vette myself and have restored it and I bought an FSM for it and could not live without it. This car is lime green and is in excellent condition. It has the Pony package with the Skaker 500 stereo. She loves it. I just wanted to say hello and expect me to ask a lot of questions. Heck, I don't even know if this is the correct forum I'm in.

Paul

Thank you!

Now, if I can only figure out how to use a photo of her car as my avatar. I tried several times with smaller and smaller photos but it just won't let me. It keeps saying upload failed. I even tried PhotoBucket.

Oh well.

Welcome!!! If you can't find an answer to a general question that is unrelated to the motor, you can also skim through and search the GT section too. The auto is a 5R55S 5spd automatic, and it's also used in the GT. Pretty good trans for boot scootin, but it has quite a noticible delay from the time you step on it til it goes, and the shifts aren't firm enough for agressive driving, or for me at least.

What year vette?

Thanks for your answer. That was what I needed. My Vette is a 94. We bought this Mustang for my wife so it'll be a little while till I can start modding it. She loves the 120 different colors the dash can display.
