Which brand of TFI modular should I buy and where from?

I'm not sure if you can get the Motorcraft modules anymore. Wells and Accel are a couple that I know of. A lot of people don't recommend using Wells (AutoZone), but when you need a TFI, you need a TFI. Check out Summit for more choices.

the last one I got was a motorcraft one, it's been great, I had alot of probs with the wells ones

I think I have a Wells. Been working fine for me.....

I've used Motorcraft and Wells before -- never noticed a difference except in my wallet.

If you're really that concerned -- buy two Wells, a TFI tool, and a wrench to keep in your car. You'll be all set and still come out cheaper than the Ford one. The Wells carry a lifetime warranty as well.

I like Adam's thinking. another route to go is to buy one before you need it and toss the old one (which still works) in the trunk.
