Broke EEC-IV connector pin retainer, do I have to redneck engineer?

While removing a couple of pins from the EEC-IV connector to swap places I was not gentle enough with the 27 year old brittle plastic and managed to break the little tab on a couple of pins of the 60 pin connector. Now the wires don't stay firmly in place. Is there a trick to securing the pins again?

The slower drying, the stronger the epoxy, usually. Clear 10 minute should be fine here if you can keep it from running on to the contact end of the wire. Plumbers Putty Epoxy will not run, but might be harder to work into the right place in the connector. If you think you can work it in with a little screwdriver, it should be less messy than the 10 minute epoxy in the double syringe.

The mass airexperts one is what I have. The best I remember it came in OEM Ford packaging.

Most of the 80s and early 90s ford's have the same 60 pin connector. Could easily find the red retainer in a junk yard for a couple bucks.
