broken head bolt HELP!

I have a broken headbolt sticking about 1/2 inch above the deck. Its on the drivers side in the lower row so its one that goes into coolant. I allready tried heating it up and grabbing it with some visegrips but couldnt budge it. Is my only option to drill it out? WHat have you guys done? Help!!!

I would keep trying to heat it and pull out like you mentioned, drilling would be my last option.

Prolly not what you would want to do but when this happened to me I found a Nut that the bolt fit in the middle of nicely and welded it. Used a 3/4 impact and some pen. oil from there.

weld a net to it and let it cool on it's own (no water) then with a wrench or a bar with the correct size socket work it back and forth a little. the bolt should come right out if you have a good weld. If it breaks the welded on nut off try again.
