That cable does not go into the hole that's over it in the pic you posted. That cable should be part of a larger, plastic bracket assembly right along side the throttle cable. Both cables (through the plastic bracket) connect to the same point on the throttle body. At least, that's how it's setup on mine.
it is stock, and the cable is stock. it "belongs" there but what it does is a mystery. i will keep digging and post my findings if i figure it out. looks like it is getting a cotter pin though.Me either bro. I don't know what other cables would be in that area unless you have a window switch or something for nitrous or methanol?
