Broken Piece, What Is It?

hooks up to the same metal as the throttle cable. the "snap" pin that should go up into that hole is broken. what is it? is it replaceable thru an after market company or possibly from another vehicle?

That cable does not go into the hole that's over it in the pic you posted. That cable should be part of a larger, plastic bracket assembly right along side the throttle cable. Both cables (through the plastic bracket) connect to the same point on the throttle body. At least, that's how it's setup on mine.

what year is yours and can you snap a pic?
 
nope, it is the same and both are hooked up to the white plastic piece on mine. this is something different and actually pops into that hole in the metal plate. i have no idea what it is if it is not the cruise control cable.
 
Me either bro. I don't know what other cables would be in that area unless you have a window switch or something for nitrous or methanol? :shrug:
it is stock, and the cable is stock. it "belongs" there but what it does is a mystery. i will keep digging and post my findings if i figure it out. looks like it is getting a cotter pin though.
